Goings on

• Mostly been attempting to do something useful for
  my common task
• Otherwise Ill get shouted at.
• So what did I do
• Learned all the intricacies of the Babar C
  object persistency framework
• Thats how to store data on disk
• Its a bit complicated

• Persistency
• Then I didnt get asked to do anything with it
• ?
• So, now Im learning something else
• ?
• Sadly it involves the grid so itll probably fail
  spectaculary!

New stuff

• Early next year we will attempt to run Babar
  skims on the tier 2 here using the full grid
  machinery
• So now Im entering the mysterious world of
  object-oriented perl
• Will be moving the mySQL database off the sun
  asap as part of this

Physics!

• Have found some time to start thinking about
  physics though
• Started thinking about t??? and t???
• Get that sorted out as soon as the tier 2 is
  groaning under the weight of skimming data and
  jobs!
