Spirit Week
  • Spirit week is Oct. 12-16. Mon "Michael Jackson
    Monday" (dress like Mike) Tues "Tacky Day"
  • Wed is "Spirit Day" (wear school colors)
  • Thurs "Bad Hair Day
  • Fri"Sports and Athlete Day (dress like a famous
    athlete)

Assembly
  • The Homecoming assembly will be Wednesday, Oct.
    14 in the M-4 gym.

Homecoming Parade
  • If you want to put your car or truck in the
    Homecoming parade, see Ms. Spight for a parade
    form.
  • The parade will begin at Ferguson Middle School
    and end at McCluer on Oct. 17 at 10 a.m.

Homecoming Parade
  • The Homecoming parade will begin at 10 a.m. from
    Ferg. Middle school and proceed towards McCluer
    on Florissant Road. Let me know if you want to
    join us and walk your dog.

Homecoming Dance
  • When? After the McCluer Comets football game!!
  • COMETS VS. FORT-ZUMWALT NORTH
  • V.S.
  • October 17th _at_ 7pm
  • Where? McCluer Hub
  • How? No more than 2 absences between now and Sept
    25th (field trips dont count against you) Pay
    fines too!

Homecoming Tickets
  • All students can purchase homecoming tickets for
    12. Students bringing a guest from another
    school must pay 15. They must also fill out a
    guest form which is now available from Ms.
    Weaver. Students cannot purchase a ticket if they
    have more than 2 unexcused absences.

Breakfast
  • There is a Breakfast Cart available in the Hub in
    the morning. The
  • Breakfast Cart is in the same location as thez
    Sandwich Cart during lunch.
  • Non-heated breakfast items are available on the
    Breakfast Cart.

Food Code Of Conduct
  • Be Respectful drop off in Hub Main office
    quietly
  • Be Responsible when depositing include name, pin
    number the amount depositing
  • Be Ready deposit before 3rd hour because
    payments will not be accepted during lunch

Comet Cards
  • Gold Cards are for students with 4.0 minimum GPA
    for 2nd semester of 2009.
  • Red Cards are for students with 3.5 to 4.0 GPA
    for 2nd semester of 2009.
  • Blue Cards are for students with 2.0 minimum GPA
    for the 2nd semester of 2009, whose GPA increased
    at least .5 increase over the prior semester.

Science Research Club, Team JETS Future
Educators of America
  • Science Research Club will meet on Tuesdays after
    school at 230 p.m. in Room 2206.
  • Team JETS will also begin meeting at in Room 2206
    at 230 p.m. Tuesdays.
  • Future Educators of America will meet on
    Wednesdays at 230 p.m. in Room 2206.

Drama Club meets 1st Thursday of the month
during AdvisoryITS meets the 3rd Thursday of the
month.

Senior Yearbook Photos
  • Seniors must get their yearbook picture taken at
    Prestige Studio off Dunn Road.  
  • Packages of pictures are available, but there is
    no charge for getting only your yearbook photo
    taken.

    order to appear in the 2009-2010 yearbook.

  • Stop by the guidance office to pick up the
    College Visit Form.
  • Check the visits you want to attend.
  • Sign your name put it in the in-box on Ms.
    Hembrees desk.

  • ST LOUIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE - FLO VALLEY will join
    us on Oct. 22 at 930 a.m. to present the DUAL
    ENROLLMENT program to interested students.
    Juniors and Seniors with 2.0 GPA 17 credits are
    encouraged to stop by the guidance office, pick
    up a College Visit form and sign up for this
    meeting.

FCA MEETING
  • Attention all Comet Students if you love playing
    sports come check out FCA (Fellowship of
    Christian Athletes). We will meet next Monday at
    7pm in the M4 gym for games, food and activities.
    We would love to see every athlete from McCluer
    come out and represent your team.

ACT TESTING
  • After the October test, the next test date will
    be Dec. 12. The registration deadline for the
    Dec. ACT is Nov. 6.

ACT Testing
  • Nov. 6 is the deadline to register for the
    December ACT. From 11/9 to 11/20 you can
    register, but you will incur a late charge.
  • After the Dec. test, the next test date will be
    Feb. 6.

  • Dont forget to show up before 800 am on if you
    registered to take the December ACT test.
  • Calculators will NOT be provided, so you will
    need to bring your own. The doors will be locked
    at 800 am.

Engineering Night
Mizzous Engineering Awareness Night in St. Louis
is at Innoventor on Tuesday, Oct 27 from 630pm
to 830pm. See Ms. Hembree in the
guidance office for more details.

    learn more about Mizzou and the College of
    Engineering.
  • Faculty and staff and current students from
    Mizzou will answer your questions.

  • National Portfolio Day
  • Sunday, October 28th
  • Washington University will host the program
  • with representatives from over 30 institutions
  • by the National Assn. of Schools of Art Design.

  • The Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Saturday,
    May 8, at the Renaissance St. Louis Hotel Airport
    at 700 PM.

Prom Requirements
  • McCluer students who would like to attend the
    dance cannot have more than 8 absences (for any
    reason other than field trips) from August 13
    through April 16.

Current Events Club
  • The new Current Events Club will be meeting the
    first and third Tuesday of each month. Please
    come engage in intelligent talk and dissect the
    day's problems with us in room 5212. If you need
    more information, see Desiree Arnold or Dan
    Baldwin.

Shervonna Tucker
  • Shervonna has worked hard at every practice,
    displayed great showmanship on and off the court,
    and has remained undoubtedly enthusiastic about
    being a McCluer Pommie for the month of
    September.
