PREDICT A NWDA DDA jointly funded
collaborative project securing the growth of
regional businesses through identifying and
developing innovative products and
processes. The aim of PREDICT is to identify
innovative products and processes that can be
exploited to provide new growth opportunities for
SMEs across the region. The project is actioned
through regional partners to address a gap in
grass root support for SMEs for innovation in
product and process development.

Foundation Research Award A NWDA funded
project administered by the Innovation Relay
Centre and Eurofocus Cumbria Ltd. A region wide
programme. The aim is to cover up to 9,950 of
an SMEs allowable costs incurred in the
preparation of a full research proposal for
submission to the Sixth Framework Programme. The
award is not dependent on a successful outcome
of a submission but on a submission being
considered.

    with approximately 250 offices, in a wider
    geographical area than any other technology
    transfer network in the world

Motivating Business to Innovate A ERDF
funded project administered by CBE, Eurofocus
Cumbria Ltd and others. A region wide
programme. The purpose is to improve business
performance and to stimulate enterprise,
entrepreneurialism and new business
information. Will do this by providing focussed
support in required areas for SMEs as usually
identified by a Technical Audit of the SME, with
particular emphasis on the SMEs Innovative
capability.
