  • Already in production and expected to expand to
    1,00,000 plants in the current year, rose from
    Meghalaya is better in quality than Bangalore and
    Pune.
  • Availability - Year round
  • Varieties Cherry Lady, Corvette, Iceberg,
    Golden gate, Grand Gala, Tropical Amazon.

Each and every rose is individually inspected,
hand graded, cooled and packaged as per
international standards ensuring maximum consumer
satisfaction.

Currently Meghalaya is sending the flowers to the
metros of the country as well as Dubai and London

  • Very long vase life
  • Withstands shipping very well.

ANTHURIUM
One of the most exciting flower crops introduced
into the state, Meghalaya has the maximum area
under reds and is set to become the biggest
producer of that color in the country.

The North East is well on the way to becoming the
largest producer of Anthuriums in the country
with Meghalaya set to contribute 30 of the
production. With a plant population of 1,20,000
plants, Meghalaya will be in a position to export
500 kgs of both rose and Anthurium twice a week
taking the total to 1000 kgs per week with an
estimated value of Rs 3 crores per annum.

STRAWBERRIES
Availability December to May Ave. fruit wt 20
to 30 gms Varieties Sweet Charlie, Camarosa,
Chandler.
With the largest area in the North East at 21 Ha
and a further 10 Ha to be added this year,
Meghalaya is the biggest producer in the North
East and will be in a position to export large
volumes to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and the
Middle East.

    avail the benefit of the Central Sector Scheme
    Development/ Strengthening of Agricultural

  • Gramin Bhandaran Yojana Central Sector Scheme not
    fully availed by entrepreneurs for complaints of
    non-financing by the banks
  • Some initiatives have been taken by the State for
    networking of marketing and processing through
    its web-based Market Information Service using
    ICT framework as an extension of the AGMARKNET
