East European Data Archive Network
EDAN was founded at the UNESCO workshop Social
Science Data Archives in Eastern Europe in 2002
  • Informal network designed to unite data archives
    which are at an early stage of their existence
    and share common problems
  • Data Archives from Hungary, Estonia, Slovenia,
    Latvia, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia
    Bulgaria, Poland
  • Data Archive Initiatives in Lithuania, Serbia,
    Ukraine

deposited studies increased almost 10 times.

  • In 2003 almost 70 of inquiries came from Moscow
    in 2004 more than 50 inquiries came from other
    regions of Russia. There are 20 regional
