New High sensitivity mode
Blurred images are caused by 2 reasons
MEGA O.I.S. can compensate hand-shake.
  • Hand-shake
  • Subject movement

Faster shutter speed by high sensitivity is
necessary.
To realize high sensitivity mode, LUMIX uses
pixel-mixed readout method.
In this high sensitivity mode, ISO setting is
increased up to 1600 automatically. So we can use
faster shutter speed to minimize the blur of
subject movement.

This mode can minimize the blur of subject
movement thanks to fast shutter speed.

1. Blurred image caused by subject movement
Although Mega O.I.S. can stop the hand-shake, the
blurred images happen due to subject movement in
some cases, especially when taking photos of
baby or pets who cannot stop moving.

Thanks to MEGA O.I.S., we can stop the hand-shake
even in this slow shutter situation. This is
clear because the background is not blurred in
those images. Only the subject is blurred due to

Conclusion
High sensitivity mode is very effective in some
shooting situations, especially when taking
moving subjects.The combination of MEGA O.I.S.
and High sensitivity is more important. Only
limitation with either function, we cannot take
beautiful and clear pictures in very dark
conditions.
Only LUMIX has both MEGA O.I.S. and ISO1600 high
sensitivity in the market.Please appeal this
strong advantage to the end consumers!! But
please do not forget to mention that we can only
recommend to print up to 4 x 6 (10 x 15cm) due
to low resolution of the pixel mixed-readout
method.
