servicing machine. Read and understand the
Operation Maintenance manual, Operator's
Handbook and signs (decals) on machine. Follow
warnings and lnstructlons In the manuals when
making repairs, adjustments or servlclng. Check
for correct function after adjustments, repairs
or service. Untrained operators and failure to

If the attachment is not working correctly, check
the hydraulic system of the machine thoroughly
before making any repairs on the attachment.
Attachment problems can be affected by a
hydraulic system that is not operating to
specifications. Connect a flow meter to the
machine to check the hydraulic pump output,
relief valve setting and tube lines to check flow
and pressure. (See the machine's Service Manual
for the correct procedure to connect the flow
meter.) Use the following troubleshooting chart
to locate and correct problems which most often
occur with the attachment.

PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTION
Tilt-Tatch does not mount properly on the Bob-TachTM. Bob-tach wedges are not fully retracted before installation. Retract Bob-Tach wedges before installation.
Tilt-Tatch does not mount properly on the Bob-TachTM. Mud, dirt or stones are lodged between the Bob-Tach and the Tilt-Tatch mount. Remove debris between Bob-Tach and Tilt-Tatch mount.
Tilt-Tatch does not angle. Auxiliary front hydraulics not engaged. Activate loader front auxiliary hydraulics.
Tilt-Tatch does not angle. No hydraulic flow. Check quick couplers connection. Check for damaged hose ends and fittings.
Tilt-Tatch does not angle. Excessive dirt and debris in Tilt-Tatch Remove dirt and debris.
Excessive movement between Tilt- Tatch plates. Center pivot bolt is loose. Tighten to correct torque.
Excessive movement between Tilt- Tatch plates. Wear plates are worn. Replace wear plates.

NA7084 Frequently inspect the tilt-tatch to
ensure that all components are secure and that
all bolts and nuts are thoroughly tightened.
lnspect the Bob-Tach wedge mounts (Item 1),
mounting flange (Item 2) Figure 10-20-1 and all
welds on the tilt- tatch for wear and damage each
time the tilt dtCh i5 removed from the machine.
Every 50 Hours Of Operafion
Torque pivot bolt (Item 1) Figure 10-20-2 to
260 Nm (190 ft-lb) torque as indicated.
Torque (12) retaining plate bolts (Item 2)
Figure 10-20 2 to 135 Nm (100 ft-lb) torque
as indicated.

Bob-Tach wedge must
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH The Bob-Tach wedges must
extend throu9h the holes in the axachment
mounting frame. Levers must be fully down and
locked. Failure to aecure wedges can allow

attachment mounting frame, securely fastening the
attachment to the Bob-Tach Figure 10-20-4.

NOTE If the wedge does not contact the lower
edge of the hole, the attachment will be loose
and can come off the Bob-Tach. lnspect the
mounting frame on the tilt-tatch. (See the
machine's Operation Maintenance Manual for
inspecting the Bob-Tach). Replace any parts that
are damaged, bent or missing. Keep all fasteners
tight. Look for cracked welds. Contact your
Bobcat dealer for repair or replacement
parts. Lubricate the wedges. (See the machine's
Operation Maintenance Manual for the correct
procedure.) Push down on the Bob-Tach levers
until they are fully engaged in the locked

through the attachment mounting frame holes). The

Always use a good quality lithium base
multi-purpose grease when lubricating the
tilt-tatch. Apply lubricant until extra grease
shows. Lubricate the grease fittings, EVERY 8 -

When repairing hydrostatic and hydraulic ayatems,
clean the work area before disassembly and keep
all parts clean. Always use capa and pluga on
hoses, tubelines and porta to keep dirt out. Dirt
can quickly damage the system. 1-1003-0888
