Significance of Navratri Nav Durga Pooja Vidhi
Navratri is celebrated every year as a
significant win over the evil. Durga Maa will
ultimately punish the negative energies and
people who have done something wrong. The
Navratri festival is celebrated to celebrate the
victory of Durgaa Maa over the evils. The
festival lasts nine days and ends on the day of
Dussehra. Dussehra is marked with a lot of
energy and positivity all over India with the
Ravan Dahan event. Maa Durga marble statue is
worshipped with a lot of devotion and love by
everyone. These nine days are celebrated as days
of colors, as there is a new color every day. All
the women enjoy this festival to their fullest
by attending garba and dandiya events wearing

as follows- Significance of Navratri
Festival- 1) Honoring Women Power- The
significance of the Navratri festival is the
honoring and celebrating the strength of girl
power. On this day, Durgaa Maa set an example for
all the women by fighting bravely against all
the evil and hostile forces in this world. Many
experts say that the world is never without the
power of Shakti. Even Shiv ji is complete with
the companionship of Shakti. The festival is
celebrated to nurture Mother Nature, who has been
protecting and

caring for us for so many years. We must offer
our prayers to her in these nine days and be
grateful for everything we have achieved. 2)
Worshipping all forms of Durgaa Maa- Durga Maa is
in many avatars to protect her devotees from all
the evil doings in this world. She has taken
many roles to overcome the challenges of those
situations. Each day is dedicated to nine
Avatars of Durga Maa, which are briefly explained
as follows- Day 1- Shailaputri Shailaputri is
the daughter of our tremendous and visionary
Himalayan mountains. The day is dedicated to
Shailaputri to get inspiration for achieving
great heights. Shailaputri inspires and
motivates everyone to get the highest possible
consciousness of the mind, which is the most
challenging battle. Day 2- Brahmacharini Parvati
is the form of Brahmacharini, as she had been
focused on getting married to Lord Shiva.
Brahmacharini explains that women should never
get attached to a man's wealth of physical
benefits. But she should support and protect
their relationship from all kinds of evil.
Parvati never lost her focus and trust in Lord
Shiva until she finally had him forever. Day 3-
Chandraghanta Chandraghanta refers to the form
of Parvati when she was married to Lord Shiva.
Chandra means moon, and ghanta means bell, which
means that, like the moon, the mind is also very
restless. It keeps on going from one thought to
another. Chandraghanta withholds the power of
reason while facing challenges and good
times. Day 4- Kushmanda The fourth day of
Navratri is dedicated to Kushmanda, which means
Goddess of creativity and energy. Kushmanda is a
mixture of two words, small and Anda. Here, Anda
means the egg from which the whole world is
derived.

in society and always stand with the good. Day

bravest forms of Maa Durga. She was raised during
the most challenging situations to fight
fiercely against the evils. Everyone should take
