• Over 400 million people lack access to essential
  health care
• 40 of the worlds population face soaring
  poverty from out of pocket expenditure on health
  care (WHO 2018)
• The need for specialized care is increasing
  besides escalating care cost
• The demand is higher among low income countries

The problem

• There are long queues of patients at public
  health facilities
• The tiered health structure does not meet the
  necessary referral benefits for the population
• The health facilities are poorly supported
• Health care delivery is majorly curative oriented
  than preventive
• Poor infrastructure to support IT interventions
  for effective patient care

The proposed solution

• Roll out a clinic scheduling system to support
  patients that require specialized care at public
  health facilities in rural Africa
