About Char Dham Yatra

• Situated in different directions of Uttarakhand,
  the Char Dham Yatra, is known as the world's most
  sacred pilgrimage tour. These holy shrines are
  Badrinath in the north, Dwarka in the west, Puri
  in the east, and Rameshwaram in the south. A trip
  to the Char Dhams is the epitome of devotion,
  where Ganga, Yamuna, Vishnu, and all Shiva live

Badrinath Dham

• The lovely town of Badrinath is a place where
  divinity collides with nature's tranquility. The
  pre-eminent home of Lord Vishnu is one of the
  holy shrines of the Char Dham pilgrimage in
  India, situated in the Chamoli district of
  Uttarakhand at the height of 3,139 feet. Puri,
  Dwarka, and Rameswaram are some of the other Char
  Dham temples.

Kedarnath Dham

• The Kedarnath Temple is a well-known and
  significant shrine in the country, one of Lord
  Shiva's 12 jyotirlinga temples in India. The
  Panch Kedar pilgrimage of India includes the
  temples of Kedarnath, Kalpeshwar, Rudranath,
  Tungnath, and Madmaheshwar.

Gangotri Dham

• At 3200 meters above sea level, Gangotri Dham is
  the second stop on the Yatra, located in Gomukh,
  the sacred River Ganga's source believed that
  bathing in the Ganges' holy water cleanses one of
  all sins. According to legend, King Bhagirath
  pondered for a long before Ganga came into the
  area. The stone on which he has meditated is
  displayed at the temple.

Yamunotri Dham

• People begin their journey in Yamunotri, the
  source of the Yamuna River, and according to
  legend, Yamuna is Yamraj's sister. He had
  promised her sister on Bhai Dooj that anyone who
  took a dip in the river was not sent to Yamlok
  and get salvation. So, Goddess Yamuna gets
  worshiped here.

• Check the weather forecast before planning your
  travel.
• Book a Chardham package by the best travel agent
  rather than trying to plan everything on your
  own.
• Before booking a package, read the list of
  inclusion and exclusions.
• As this is a religious tour, only bring
  appropriate clothing.
• If you drink alcohol or eat non-vegetarian meals
  during your trip, you will not be allowed to
  access the temples or religious sites.
• Carry medicines, first-aid supplies, a power
  bank, and other necessities with you.
• Visiting Chardham during the rainfall is not
  advisable owing to the risk of landslides.
• Where photography is prohibited, do not take
  photographs in those areas.
