Most Effective Ways To Overcome Drain Un blocker
2
  • Blocked drains are frustrating, there is never a
good time for you to need a drain unblocker in
    Wirral.
  • It is a common problem that every homeowner and
landlord will have to face at some point.
  • If you find yourself in the shower or washing the
dishes and realise that the water is draining a
lot slower than normal, or not draining at all,
then you need to take action fast before your
clogged drains turn into a bigger problem!
  • We have got together a few home remedies that you
can try to make sure that your pipes are running
freely, and to stop you from needing to call the
best drain unblocker in Wirral if you can help it!

3
  • Boiling Water
  • Probably the easiest of our home remedies is
simply to pour boiling water down the sink or
    drain.
  • The most likely cause of small clogs will be
hair, grease, fat, and soap scum which will
attract anything else to stick to it and slowly
form a clog in your pipes.
  • The boiling water method is an effective drain
unblocking Wirral method and should dislodge and
    break down these natural clogs.
  • This is normally the first move when you find a
slow draining pipe and should hopefully keep the
    larger clogs at bay!

4
  • Baking Soda and Vinegar
  • This one is an oldie but a Goldie, and has been
tried and tested over many years to prove its
    effectiveness.
  • The suggested mix is 1/3 of a cup of baking soda
with 1/3 of a cup of vinegar which should start
    to fizz immediately.
  • Pour this straight down the sink to create your
remedy and let it sit for as long as possible
    (overnight is recommended!).
  • The fizzing mixture should help to dislodge small
clogs and break down any fatty substances to
    leave you with cleaner drains.
  • You will then need to pour boiling water down the
drain to remove any excess and make sure
    everything is flushed out.

5
  • Take the plunge!
  • If you are finding that you are still having
trouble with your pipes, then your next step is
    to get the plunger out.
  • You will find that a flat-bottomed plunger will
work best for sinks and baths, so you wont be
able to use the plunger made for your toilet this
    time!
  • Plungers are a brilliant drain unblocker in
Wirral, and while they may take some strength and
perseverance they have been successful for
    decades in clearing household drains.

6
  • Bent wire hanger
  • This one is often overlooked but can work wonders
if you are still struggling to unblock your
drains. Take an ordinary wire coat hanger and
straighten it out as best as you can.
  • Bend one end slightly to create a hook shape.
Push your make shift hook through the holes in
your plug and down the drain and start to feel
    for any blockages.
  • You should be able to gently fish out anything
that could potentially be stopping your water
from draining, including clumps of hair, soap,
    and small blockages.
  • You just need to be careful that you are hooking
and pulling any small blockages out and not
pushing them further down your pipes! You dont
want to end up making the blockage worse.

7
  • Chemical Cleaners
  • If you have tried all of the above methods and
you still dont feel that your drains are back to
normal, then you can always try something a
little stronger like store bought chemical
    cleaners.
  • All you need to do is pour down the drain, leave
for a few hours (or overnight) and then flush out
with boiling water. You do need to be careful
though if you use too much chemical cleaner
then you could end up corroding your pipes and
creating a stressful (and expensive) plumbing
    emergency.
