If you've ever said this phrase out loud, there's
a good chance you're nowhere near as fashionable
as you think. Unless you're donating your clothes
to charity or giving them away to friends and
family, it's almost impossible not to buy new
items occasionally.

Don't Spend Big on Anything
You'll never be happy with an expensive
second-hand item. If you spot something awesome
for a great price and it costs more than 50,
walk away. Remember that the quality of used
goods is far more important than the amount you
spend.

Don't Buy Items That Belong to Someone Else
This may be a hard rule to follow, but it's a
good one. If you're shopping for your own
wardrobe, go ahead and buy something that still
has tags. The problem lies in how someone else
wears the item. It isn't the shopping I don't
like, it is the shopping of someone else.

Don't Buy Items That Are Too Big or Too Small
This rule applies to clothes, purses, and pretty
much everything else you own. If a piece is just
too small for you, it will never look flattering
on your body. If an item is too big or too
long, it will always look bad on you.
