  • Whey protein is a kind of protein got in milk. It
    is used by many people in protein shakes and
    supplements. Whey protein is of three types, with
    whey concentrate having the least amount of
    protein and whey hydrolysed being in the
    pre-digested form. Isolate is widely used by many
    people around the world as a supplement. It
    contains around 90 protein and is available as
    flavoured and unflavoured supplements. If you
    have lactose intolerance then avoid whey protein
    since it is made from milk. If you have more
    protein than you need, it can lead to stress on
    the kidneys. It can cause protein toxicity that
    is harmful to your health.

Is whey protein safe for daily use?
  • Though whey protein is usually safe for daily
    use, there are a few things to keep in mind. Whey
    protein, or any protein should not be taken in
    excess. It can cause digestive issues and protein
    toxicity. 
  • There are a lot of fake brands in the market and
    it is important to be careful of them. Go for
    reputed brands, and buy the product from
    authorized dealers, shops and sites.
  • Be clear about your goal for taking protein. Is
    it to build lean muscle? Is it to help with
    muscle recovery after your workout? Do you
    workout? Etc.  If you have protein without a
    clear goal, then you might not benefit. 
  • Select the right protein for you milk protein,
    pea protein, rice protein, quinoa protein, etc. 
  • Some brands add many chemicals and fillers. They
    might be harmful to the person. Be careful of
    what you consume.
