The US Government has been expanding access to
testing across the nation. Currently, both
government labs and private labs have been
approved for testing. Government Labs Private

There are several ways of doing the COVID-19 test
including a blood sample, sputum sample, and
biopsy.The ones currently used by both US
Government Labs and Private Labs are a
combination of Nasopharyngeal (Nose) swab and
Oropharyngeal (throat) swab.These are simple,
non invasive procedure that a trained medical
professional will do, wearing protective
equipment.

antigen tests are also being carried out at local
healthcare centers, hospitals and camps organised
at various places.

Test-track-treat strategy has been adopted to
ensure early detection and containment of
Covid-19. In continuation of various measures
undertaken by the government to augment Covid-19
testing and ensuring greater accessibility, it
has been decided that there will be no
requirement of a prescription from a qualified
medical practitioner, an order by the health
department read.

  availability is changing rapidly.
• Doctors are working with local and state public
  health offices to determine who needs to be
  tested and provide access to tests. The Centers
  for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has
  released guidance on who should be tested-
• People who have symptoms of COVID-19
• People who have had close contact (within 6 feet
  for a total of 15 minutes or more) with someone
  with confirmed COVID-19
• People who have been asked or referred to get
  testing by their healthcare provider,
  local/external icon or state health department.
• Not everyone needs to be tested, which is why you
  should check with your family doctor. If you do
  get tested, you should self-quarantine/isolate at
  home pending test results and follow the advice
  of your doctor.
