  • Cover up furniture and floor
  • First of all, empty the room of its furniture or
group them in the center and cover them with a
trap. Put down protection on the ground
    (tarpaulins, plastic, cardboard, or newspaper).
  • Swaddle the appliques and anything that cannot be
taken apart with plastic bags held by an adhesive
tape, so the painting painters in Markham will
not create any stain on other home furniture.
  • The walls
  • Pick up paintings, photos, and other decorative
    items from the wall.
  • Also, remove window curtains and rods, and other
    ties.
  • Protect baseboards, ceiling angles, window
towers, and door frames with masking tape.
  • As for the anchors that you will reuse
after painting on a wall, put screws in them so
that the paint does not accumulate inside. You
will only have to remove them once the job is
    done

How to clean walls Cleaning the wall is important
before Painting wall for an efficient amount of
work. Cleaning walls your wall thoroughly with a
degreasing detergent and a sponge starting with
the ceiling and working your way down to the
baseboards. Rinse with clean water and let
dry. If the wall has areas of mold Cleaning
walls with bleach or fungicide. Then wash and
rinse the wall again. If you have peeled off
some wallpaper and there are small bits or traces
of glue Moisten them and remove them with a
scraper. Let the wall dry.

Repair Wall Remove nails and screws Once your
wall is perfectly clean, remove the screws and
use a pair of pliers to remove the nails. For the
dowels, take a screw, screw it partly into the
dowel, and with a pair of pliers, pull on
it. Filling of holes and cracks Start by making
the holes and cracks reasonable, with a
triangular scraper, knocking out any loose parts.
For the plaster to adhere properly, dampen the
area to be filled with a sponge. Apply a filler
to cracks or holes with a plaster knife. Smooth
the plaster to avoid any extra thickness and then
let it dry.  Once it is completely dry, sand the
patched area with medium-grit sandpaper. Once the
main roughness and the main defects have been
eliminated, the micro-holes must be filled.

Installation of a smoothing plaster If you intend
to apply acrylic paint, apply a water-based
smoothing filler, for glycerophthalic paint, you
will need a greasy filler. Apply the smoothing
plaster to the wall with a plaster knife,
spreading it horizontally and always in the same
direction, from right to left for example. Wait
until it is perfectly dry, that is to say very
white and without any gray area. Sand the wall
with a fine-grit sandpaper. Dust it completely
with a damp sponge. Then apply a 2nd coat. To
coat an entire room, it is recommended to start
at the bottom of the walls. The first pass should
be spread horizontally throughout the room. Then,
always starting from the bottom, apply the second
layer of plaster vertically. Sand your entire
wall with a fine grain abrasive (120) to make it
very smooth. Dust and vacuum, the wall, and the
room completely.
