1. Denali National Park is an American
National park and preserves in Alaska. It is
spread over 9,446 square miles and is larger than
the state of New Hampshire. 2. This
national park was established on December 2,
1980, and features a mix of forest, deciduous
taiga, glaciers, snow, and bare rocks. 3.
It is home to Kahiltna Glacier which is the
longest in this park and visitors also have the
option to enjoy endless outdoor activities like
cross country skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling,
camping, hiking, and bear watching.

    almost 11,000 years, the oldest site within this
    park is the Teklanika River that is about 7130
    BC. The national park is home to 84
    archaeological sites and is one of the most
    visited parks in Alaska.

    Alaska Ranges, the valleys of McKinley in the
    north, Toklat and Foraker Rivers, Wyoming Hills,
    George Park on the south.

6. About 450 species of flowering plants
bloom in this park throughout summer. Species
include fireweed, goldenrod, bluebell, lupine,
etc. 7. Denali is also one of the best
bear viewing sites in Alaska. Adult brown bears
and cubs can be seen walking on the road most of
the time. 300-350 grizzly bears, 2700 black bears
can be found here. 8. It is also home to
an interesting mix of other American birds and
mammals are known to be found here. Animals
include wolves, caribou, moose, Dall sheep,
Arctic fox species, shrews, coyotes, beavers,
pikas, hares, hoary marmots, Canada lynx, etc.

9. Migratory birds include pine
grosbeaks, ptarmigan, tundra swan, arctic
warblers, waxwings while raptors include owls,
hawks, falcons, golden eagles, etc. For more
