In 1958, Dr. Roy Blackburn was born in
Jacksonville, Florida to a dentist father who
worked in the navy and his mother was the first
woman to enroll in that University. Roy Blackburn
attended ST. Vincent MEDICAL CENTER where he was
Resident- Internal Medicine from July 1987 till
June 1990.

Roy Blackburn worked as medical director at
BASTROP REHABILITATION HOSPITAL, Bastrop, LA in
2000, and as a medical director at ST. MICHAEL
REHABILITATION HOSPITAL, Texarkana, TX for 4
years. He is known to be a hardworking individual
and during his university years, he worked at a
food co-op.

In 1982, Dr. Roy Blackburn completed his biology
degree at Augusta University and was fortunate
enough to travel to Europe which included Eastern
Europe. He also worked at LOVELACE PAIN CLINIC as
a Physician for two years from 2001 till 2003.

Roy Blackburn graduated high school from
Benedictine Military School which is an all-boy
Catholic military school. He has been
volunteering at Occupy Medical Clinic since March
2015.
