  • About DTH users-
  • The total number of total active subscribers with
    pay DTH operators (Tata Sky, Airtel, Dish TV, Sun
    Direct) in India in the quarter ending September
    2019 was 69.30 million, which is an increase from
    68.92 million in the quarter ending June. In
    terms of market share, Tata Sky led the DTH
    sector with the highest 31.61 per cent share
    followed by Dish TV at a close 31.23 per cent.
    Airtel took the third spot with 23.39 per cent
    market share, while Sun Direct had a total of
    13.78 per cent share respectively.
  • Who needs to reach out to DTH users?
  • As seen DTH users forms a very huge audience of
    about 69.30 million. All this audience can serve
    as a potential customer base for OTT service
    providers and Internet Service Providers. Also
    for DTH audience today mostly the recharges are
    done online hence the e-wallet service providers
    or those who provide online payment services
    needs to reach this audience. The FMCG companies
    needs to reach out this audience. The TV
    manufacturing companies or the SMEs which
    provides TV accessories needs to reach out this
    audience.

  • Now it seems obvious that the best way to reach
    the DTH users is to reach through Television
    advertising but by TV advertising you will be
    reaching DTH users as well as cable users. So the
    most effective way is to use channels which helps
