As an Indian students, is it necessary to learn
German language to get admission in German
colleges?
  • The German language holds much importance when
you want to study in Germany. Germany offers
courses in English and German language. For
courses that are being taught in entire German,
you have to be proficient in the German language
till C1 level and the courses offered in English
and German, one has to be proficient in German
till B1. For English taught programs minimum band
of 6-6.5 is required in IELTS. Please note that
even if you are applying for English taught
programs you should be knowing basic German up to
level A1 or A2, it would definitely make your
    stay in Germany much easier.

Germany?
  • Yes pursuing higher education from abroad can
definitely boost your career as they focus more
    on practical implementation rather than
theoretical education. Studying abroad gives one
more exposure. You get to know people from
different nationality and you learn more in this
    way.
  • Apart from this pursuing higher education from
economically strong nation bring you plethora of
job opportunities. There are many favorite
destination of Indian students . One can pursue
higher education from US, Germany, Canada,
Poland, Ireland, Czech republic, Australia and
    many other similar destinations.
  • These higher study destination provide excellent
education to students but sometimes student find
these destination quite expensive but in Germany
one can study for free at public universities.

plethora of Job opportunities. Apart from this

What are some key points that one should keep in
mind while applying for Engineering courses in
Germany?
  • There are few things to keep in mind while
    applying to German universities.
  • Finding a stream and university is the first and
foremost step you should keep in mind. Try to do
thorough research about which course is best at
    which university.
  • What are the job prospects of the course you are
    willing to choose in Germany?
  • Start learning the German language as mostly
bachelor programs are taught in the German
language. We recommend starting your German
language course 6 months prior to your arrival in
    Germany.
  • Open a block account in Deutsch Bank as well as
with Kotak Mahindra Bank. As after your arrival
you need to withdraw money for your semester fee
    and other living expenses.
  • I hope you will find this information helpful,
    Thanks and All the best!

What all one should know before deciding to study
in Germany?
  • There are many things you need to consider before
going to Germany. First of all, check what all
courses you are eligible for. Then check the job
prospects of the course you want to pursue. You
should know what are the public universities that
    offer your desired course.
  • Apart from this, You should be familiar with the
German language. If you are applying to German
taught programs you should know real good German
so start learning German at least 6 months before
    your arrival to Germany.
  • If you are lucky enough and you get the English
taught program than also learn German at least
till A2 level. Then it would be easier to gel
with the German and it would make your stay
    comfortable in Germany.
  • Read about the German culture and heritage on the
internet, as Germans don t like small talk and
it can ease your communication with the Germans.
Although German education is famous for its
low-cost education, still check how much money
you will need according to different cities. Make
sure you meet the financial requirements before
    coming to Germany.
  • I hope you will find this information helpful,
    Thanks and All the best!

Are all subjects taught in German in
Undergraduate course?
  • As per my knowledge mostly Bachelors programs
are taught in the native language. If you are
lucky enough you can find some management and
other programs in the English language too but
    thats quite rare.
  • If youre attending a degree program in Germany,
you will sometimes need to prove that your
language skills are good enough to participate in
the classes and understand the lectures. German
education system follows the 13year system,
unlike India that follows 12 years of school
education. So to bridge the gap of one year
mostly universities offer the foundation course
i.e Studienkolleg. German language classes are a
top priority in a Studienkolleg because
regardless of the type, of course, you will learn
    the German language.
  • So if you are thinking of going to Germany for
bachelor studies, I would suggest you start
working on your German language skills. Taking
German language lessons at least 6 months before
is advised to rest is up to you.
  • I hope you will find this information helpful,
    Thanks and All the best!

How much marks should one get in India to do
Bachelors degree from Germany?
  • The criteria of marks differ from university to
university in Germany. But if we talk about most
of the public universities they require 65. Make
sure your study from Indian university is
recognised and registered at Anabin then only
your one-year education will be considered valid.
Check whether your college or university is
    registered on Informationssystem zur Anerkennung
    ausländischer Bildungsabschlüsse
  • Read about the German culture and heritage on the
internet, as Germans don t like small talk and
it can ease your communication with the Germans.
Although German education is famous for its
low-cost education, still check how much money
you will need according to different cities. Make
sure you meet the financial requirements before
    coming to Germany.
  • I hope you will find this answer helpful, thanks.

9
Is it true that German taught courses are more
affordable when compared to English taught
courses?
  • You will find 3 medium of instructions in
Germany. Some universities provide courses in
English, German and English German both.
  • As per my knowledge, there is no relation between
the medium of instruction and university fee
structure. There are two types of universities in
Germany and public universities offer courses at
a very low cost as compare to private
universities. So if you find courses in a public
university, whether in English or German
language, you will find it more affordable.
  • The requirements for all the mediums are
different. For the German medium, you need the
language proficiency up to C1 level while for
English and German courses one needs to be
proficient till the B1 level. And for English
taught programs, you should have good English
language skills and you need an IELTS score of at
least 6-6.5 band depending upon your university
    requirements.
  • I hope you will find this information helpful,
    Thanks and All the best!

Why is Germany the best destination to study
abroad for Indian students?
  • There are numerous reasons I can give you and
justify that Germany is the best destination to
study for students. Germany attracts mostly
international students due to its free education
system in public university. The first reason is
its Developed economy. German education is
considered highly valuable among employers around
the globe. Plethora of job opportunities are
there to attract international students. At the
time when higher education is becoming a
necessity due to the increased need for highly
qualified professionals and cost of attending
university are increasing faster, Germany is the
only top study destination whose universities
charge low tuition fee or no tuition fee. Germany
is centrally located, due to this fact you can
roam around the world while living in Germany.
Foreign students will only have to pay few
    administrative costs like student contribution,
student union fee and a public transport ticket
which account to around 250 per semester
altogether. In Germany there is a very good
    balance between practical and theoretical
training, with major thrust on practical
training, knowledge of application and research,
this will help you to progress and be successful
in your career. Also, the exposure to a new and
an effective method of learning, introduction to
a new culture and a healthy competition would be
beneficial for your overall skill set.
