Curd Rice It is a popular South Indian dish made
with cooked rice, curd, and tempered spice. Its
a great summer and comfort food made up of just 5
ingredients.

  • INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1½ tablespoons oil
  • Salt to taste
  • METHOD TO PREPARE
  • Add rice and water in a cooker. Cook until the
    rice is fully boiled.
  • Add curd and a pinch of salt onto the cooked rice
    and mix it well.
  • Heat the pan, add oil and mustard seeds. Sauté
    them well. Pour the tadka over curd rice. Serve
    hot

Besan Chilla It's an Indian pancake made with
chickpea flour (besan) and spice like ajwain.
Its an easy recipe to make for lunch or brunch.

  • Besan
  • Ajwain (Thymol seeds)
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Salt
  • METHOD TO PREPARE
  • Mix besan, ajwain, and water. Make a thick
    batter. Keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat a tbsp. of oil in a pan, pour the batter
    into and spread it evenly. Cook till the edges
    become a little brown and can be lifted easily.
  • Drip a little oil around the cheela, so that it
    soaks the oil. Flip it over to cook the other
    side.
  • Serve it with tomato ketchup or chutney.

Masala Paratha Masala Paratha is another version
of a paratha with some spices on it. It is a
simple, quick recipe with ingredients used by
every household.

  • INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil
  • Water
  • METHOD TO PREPARE
  • Pour 2 cups of whole wheat flour in a mixing
    bowl. Add ½ teaspoon Garam masala powder, salt, 1
    tablespoon oil, and ½ cup water. Mix well
  • Knead to a soft dough. Cover and keep aside for
    30 minutes. Make medium-sized balls and start
    rolling.
  • On a heated Tawa, place the paratha. Flip the
    paratha when its half cooked. Spread some oil
    over it. Repeat the same on the other side. Cook
    until it is evenly roasted.
