world. Morningstars rating system is known for
its simplicity and effectiveness in ranking
mutual funds. The funds are rated on the basis
of their relative performance to other funds in
the same category on a scale of one to five.

Morningstars Mutual Fund Rating Process

mutual fund rating process as follows The top
10 percent of funds, for instance, receive five
stars, while the following 22.5 percent of funds
receive four stars. The middle 35 percent of
funds are awarded a three-star rating, and the
next 22.5 percent earn two stars. The bottom 10
percent receive one star.
