my uchicago supplements optional essay okay and
now for a little little something extra from the
UChicago supplements series I guess um this is my
favorite things si where I I don't know if this
will happen now but when I was applying you had
the two mandatory why uchicago essay examples and
then you had one more optional essay where you
basically just like talked about one or multiple
of your favorite things and they had a bunch of
different categories I could choose from for like
things that are your favorite um so yeah I know I
definitely know some people that applied and got
in without writing this optional essay but I
personally just wrote it because I don't know I
was very much debating whether I should submit
this one or not because it's just so ridiculous
um yeah it's just it's pretty all over the place
completely ridiculous um but I don't know I just
decided to send it in anyway yeah and I guess
that worked out in my favor okay this is my
newfound favorite things essay I wrote about um
so I so I picked the topic of food for this essay
and talked about my favorite food or foods I
briefly mentioned other foods at the end but yeah
okay my favorite food is ice cream and whenever I
tell someone this I always get the same response
but ice cream isn't a food it's a dessert here I
will attempt to defend my beloved ice cream okay
I get it ice cream is sweet and food is savory
but you know what else is a food corn and corn
and sweet corn is very sweet on to the next point
ice cream is cold and food is hot you say my
answer to you sushi is cold yeah but ice cream is
very cold a frozen turkey leg isn't any less of a
turkey leg okay but ice cream is so obviously a
dessert how could you even compare ice cream to a
turkey what makes you say a turkey using also a
dessert what separates desserts from food what
separates breakfast food from dinner food what
separates cereal milk from soup I say a food is
just anything you can put inside your mouth even
grass from your front lawn cows need to eat
somehow other favorite foods include pizza
chicken nuggets fries roasted lamb so the cheese
souvlaki romaine dumpling century eggs through
glow solids tea black green oolong loose leaf is
the best pudding grapes watermelon and Nutella
and that is my epic mmm yeah I mean it's
definitely um out there I guess I don't know it's
very like it's not even like intellectual is the
thing it's just like playground bantered what I
would call it except it gets it gets a little
philosophical I guess but it's just like so
plainly written I'd say I don't know I'm nothing
against plainly ran things mostly essays were
quite plainly written but I don't know I'm just
I'm kind of still in shock that I wrote this for
a college essay anyway that's yep that's my
UChicago those are all my you Chicago essays
thanks for hearing me out I will move on to
Columbia Cornell yeah I'll move on to Cornell
next we only had one Cornell supplement I think
it was just like why Cornell should do my penofin
oh my god I actually read that Arizona and this
essay yeah yeah so I kind of um fused my you
Chicago and Cornell essays to write my pen essay
so y'all read my Cornell si next and then I'll
read my pen essay and then you'll see how I like
hydrated them that's honestly the most recycling
I did in this entire college that process like I
didn't recycle much of my writing yeah okay
