  they are placed between the sleeper and the

What are Fitted sheets?

• Fitted bed sheets are elasticated sheets at
  corners which are designed to be pulled over a
  mattress to ensure a tight fit. They do not stay
  flat and are also difficult to fold. They are
  also known as bottom sheets as they are the ones
  on which we directly lie on top and are used to
  cover and protect the mattress.

• In rare cases, there will be a mattress protector
  beneath that. While purchasing fitted sheets, you
  need to have the right dimensions of a mattress
  the length, the width, and the thickness. Because
  fitted sheets must pull snugly over the mattress
  and not be easily pulled off, so the right
  dimensions matter a lot. If we choose the wrong
  size fitted sheet, the problem arises will be it
  wont be staying in a place.
