What are the basic differences between power and
distribution transformer? Vajra Transpower is a
reputed transformer manufacturing company, which
manufactures both powers as well as distribution
type transformers. The working principle and
applications of both types of transformers are
different. As one of the leading power
transformer manufacturers in Hyderabad and a
distribution transformer manufacturer, Vajra
Transpower find out the basic difference between
these two transformers. Power transformers are
basically used in transmission purposes for high
voltages. The step-down and step-up transformer
manufacturers use this type of transformers and
step-down step-up applications. Distribution
transformers are used for low voltage
distribution to end-user connectivity. It is
generally rated less than 200MVA. Transformer
size For heavy load transmission, transformer
manufacturers build power transformers. Its high
voltage is more than 33KV and 100 efficiency. If

transformers are used where the voltage tends to
