    resident.
  • Improper or inadequate oral hygiene can result in
    unintended weight loss, reduction in quality of
    life, and dehydration and infection.
  • Good oral hygiene can increase food and liquid
    intake, which supports better nutrition and
    hydration.
  • Maintaining healthy teeth and gums at any age is
    an important part of preserving your overall good
    health.

Good Oral Hygiene
  • Protect against oral disease by
  • Brush your teeth with a fluoride toothpaste a
    minimum of two times per day.
  • Replace your toothbrush or toothbrush head every
    three to four months.
  • Floss at least once per day.
  • Brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen
    your breath.
  • Limit sweets
  • Visit your dentist one to two times a year for a
    cleaning and checkup.
  • Some people will benefit from fluoride treatments

How Do You Clean Your Own Teeth
