Tourism department has begun to probe an
influential nexus centered around Uma Shankar who
has interfered this department and deprived
hundreds of individuals of their money, a few of
the victims have committed suicide, using fake
tendering.

Apparently imposter Rajvir Singh (working for Uma
Shankar and Amit Mishra), posed as Nodal Officer
from tourism Dept and issued fake tenders on fake
challans and extorted huge amount of money from
innocent investors.

One such instance is of bed sheets and blankets
tender which had an estimated value of a whooping

370 Millions.

Another such fake tender was for direction and
creation of video documentary. These crooks
charged willing people crores of Rupees to get
the tenders.

Once the tenders were floated, interested
companies and individuals applied for the
tenders. Such was the infiltration of this gang
inside tourism department, that it was
communicated by the department of Tourism to
individuals to get their tenders through Uma
Shankar and their associates.

Modi and Chief Minister's dream project of Kumbh
Mela, attracted world wide attraction to the
grandeur scale at which the Mela was organized
and it's level of management. However, this mela
made itself into news, much before it got
organized, thanks to this Gang of Thugs.

This gang that duped hundreds of people and
investors from Lucknow, Delhi, Allahabad,
Haryana, Mumbai in the name of Kumbh Mela
comprised of Uma Shankar Tiwari (who is being
alleged by the police to be the mastermind of the
gang), Amit Mishra a resident of Amethi and
Faridabad Sector 28, Manoj Tiwari is originally a
gangster in disguise of politician from
Pratapgarh UP, operating from Naini prison, and
others.

Interestingly, Manoj has more than three dozen
cases of
MOLESTATION
MURDER
KIDNAPPING
RAPE
ATTEMPT TO MURDER
EXTORTION
PROSTITUTION

He is currently in Jail for running a sex racket
of under-aged girls, which spread from UP to
Bangladesh and Nepal.

Such is the complexity of this fake tender scam,
that some authorities confessed off the record,
that it happens to be one of the biggest scams in
Uttar Pradesh in recent times, and the list of
conned people keeps growing with each passing
day.

After reading about this scam in newspapers,
hundreds of people came to the office of Tourism
Department on Sunday and laid a siege around the
office. Most of them alleged, that they have met
the officials inside the tourism department, and
that the Managing Director of the Tourism
Department Akhand Pratap Singh's cabin was used
to deliver the money, and discuss the tenders and
it's formalities.

The common question everyone asked, was how come
these conmen reached the office of Managing
Director of Government's Tourism Department.

This fake tender scam has left authorities too
surprised, and it's reported that while
UmaShankar Tiwari and Amit Mishra might have fled
to Nepal, how come they were coordinating with a
convict lodged inside a high security Jail.

It was imposter Rajvirs arrest that lead special
task force to Manoj Tiwari who disclosed that the
gang was taking orders from their Leader Uma
Shankar Tiwari in fact.

The real identity of UmaShankar Tiwari is not
known to majority of his gang members on ground.
Such is the brilliance of this mastermind that he
had controlled entire gang from behind the
curtains. Even the Tourism Ministry and Minister
Rita Bahuguna Joshi asked the most specialized
branch of Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task
Force to catch hold of Uma Shankar.

It's reported that Uma Shankar used to travel in
White Tata Safari, and had a couple of them,
which he often changed while traveling from one
place to another. One of them was confiscated
from Kanpur, where he lives with his second wife.
The number plate of this safari was later found
to be forged.

While Special Task Force was searching for Uma
Shankar, his gang tricked a production company
from Mumbai with fake tenders for making
documentary on Kumbh Mela. The deal was to
produce nine video documentaries for 360 million
Indian Rupees. An FIR was recorded in Gomtinagar
Police Station on the request of people that got
scammed by this gang.

Down the road of this probe the police learned
that some culprits of this scandal managed to
escape the state. These include Anuj Tripathi
from Narigaon of Maheshganj PS of Pratapgarh,
Kumar Pandey aka Neeraj Pandey of Rampur Umri.

In a daring joint raid of Special Task Force and
State Police from Mumbai, these criminals were
caught from Mumbai, and are on their transit for
further interrogation to Lucknow. Further
investigation revealed that Anuj Tripathi and
Manoj Tiwari are brothers and it's not the
first time these people have committed a scam
of this intensity. They are wanted in South
Indian States for similar scams in Tourism and
Heavy Works department.

Uma Shankar Tiwari, resident of Allahabad is
still on the loose. Its an undeniable fact that
Umashankar has tentacles in administrative
department of Tourism.

Once Bahujan Smajwadi Party's Zonal
Co-coordinator, Manoj whose wife had twice
contested for assembly, met Uma Shankar while he
was detained in a case of counterfeit currency
along with Amit Mishra. It's there that these
three hatched the conspiracy of Kumbh Mela Fraud.

Uma Shankar drove the gang by controlling and
guiding every member. Other perpetrator include
Anuj Tripathi, Alok Mishra from Paryagakunj,
Gaurav Upadhyay and Rajendra Kumar Pandey.

Yet another very close partner of Uma Shankar,
Amit Mishra was found posing as an officer of
Tourism Department. He is a current resident of
Faridabad and is originally from Amethi, Uttar
Pradesh. Some people say that it was this man
who used to meet people as Akhand Pratap Singh as
MD of Tourism department. Amit has yet not been
arrested and allegedly escaped to Nepal.

On inquiring how so many people got hold of these
tenders, police told that they spread fake
tenders on social media and whatsapp which
reached thousands of prospects and thus victims.
The victims were allegedly promised huge returns
and immediate cash back after tender was awarded
to them.

A victim of such campaign Rakhi Sen lost more
than a million against fake tender on
documentary. She claimed that officials met her
in tourism building for several times during this
documentary contract. Rakhi was informed about
these tenders by Umashankar Tiwari. Umashankar
told that the contract was awarded with help from
MD of tourism department Akhand Pratap Singh who
was actually Amit Mishra. This con had pretended
as MD and waived this to bait Rakhi in fake
tender game.

The reach and scale of this scam also raise some
questions which everyone in Police and Crime
wings are trying to find out that How such scam
of this level can happen without the
collaboration of officials from tourism
department without the knowledge of Uttar Pradesh
Govt.
