• Mozilla Firefox black screen issue generally
  occurs due to a bug from the recent update of
  Firefox. As explained by Mozilla, the black
  screen is caused because of a new feature called
  OFF main Thread Composting (OMTC).
• Disable Hardware Acceleration
• Open Firefox and type About preferences in the
  address bar. Enter.
• Now scroll down and uncheck Use recommended
  performance settings.
• Under the performance uncheck Use hardware
  acceleration when available.
• Close Firefox.
• Reboot your PC.

• Start Firefox in safe mode.
• If the above method didnt work for you, try
  below steps
• Open Mozilla Firefox and click on three lines.
• Go to menu and click on Help. Now click Restart
  with Add-ons Disabled.
• Click on Restart from the pop-up.
• After restarting you will be asked to either
  Start in safe mode or Refresh Firefox.
• Now click on Start in safe mode.
• Check if your Mozilla Firefox Black screen issue
  is resolved or not.

• Update your current version of Firefox
• Open Mozilla Firefox. Now from the right-hand
  corner of the screen, click on the three lines.
• A menu will open. Click on Help and then About
  Firefox.
• Firefox will check for new updates automatically
  and will download it , if available.
• Now Restart your PC to save the changes.
