Title: Want To Score High In PTE Academic Speaking Test? - Avigna Learning Academy

1
PTE Academic is one of the most preferred English
language testing exams conducted across the
globe today. Introduced in 2009, it has gained
immense popularity and is now one of the most
preferred exams for studying abroad and
immigration purposes for non- native English
speakers. It is accepted in many international
universities, almost 3000 in number, in various
countries like Australia, UK, USA, and New
Zealand.
WHAT INCLUDES IN THE PTE ACADEMIC TEST? With a
three-hour computer-based process, the PTE
Academic tests all four skills of the candidate
reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In
the test, candidates are required to use a
computer and a headset to listen and respond to
the questions. They may be given small excerpts
from instructions or lectures, or may be asked to
view charts and graphs. The accents used may
vary in accents, from British to American and
the candidate is expected to understand all of
them. This is because when the candidate will be
living abroad, he will be encountering a variety
of different accents in everyday life. LEARNING

  • FOCUSING ON FLUENCY AND PRONUNCIATION
  • Two key elements you need to focus on while
preparing for the PTE Academic are fluency and
pronunciation. When you are giving the written
test, you may be confident enough if you have a
good hold over the English language. However, the
same confidence may be knocked off when you
speak, as you may get nervous. Whether it is
answering any questions, describing an image,
reading out aloud, or any other question that
requires you to speak, you must be sure that you
are fluent and have the correct pronunciation
    while giving the right answers.
  • TIPS TO PRACTICE ON FLUENCY AND PRONUNCIATION
  • To help you practice on these two main elements,
there are a variety of ways you can prepare,
other than getting enrolled at the best PTE exam
    coaching centre in Bangalore.
  • Concentrate on the keywords used in the lecture.
Note them down on the notepad given to you,
which would be erasable. Focus more on the
keywords and phrases, and use small words that
sound important, while holding all the substance
    of the lecture.
  • Practice all kinds of British, American, and
Australian accents. This will help make your
    accent better day by day.
  • Answering in your own words is what is required
in the PTE Academic test. Build up your content
and answer in your own way, but make sure to
include the keywords given in the question. The
more keywords you use, the better you will score.
  • Dont hesitate, which means dont speak too slow.
Similarly, dont rush. It is a machine that will
take your test, so speaking hastily will only
make it un- understandable for the system, and
you may lose out on points.
  • Last but not the least, avoid using too many
    filler words.
