Overview of Darjeeling

The toy train
The toy train, also known as the Darjeeling
Himalayan Railway, is the most renowned
attraction of the Darjeeling tour. This 2ft-wide
narrow gauge railway runs between Jalpaiguri and
Darjeeling and it was made in the year 1879. In
the year 1999, UNESCO declared the toy train as a
World Heritage Site. This is the second railway
in the world, after the Semmering Railway in
Austria, to have such an honor.

Singalila National Park
The Singalila National Park is situated at a
height of over 2,134 meters above sea level. One
of the best things about the park is the
panoramic view of the mountains that you can

the total area of 50,000 square feet. It
traverses into beautiful parks, tunnels, and
hillocks in its descent of 1,000 feet. Do not
forget to visit the local handicrafts market
