• AAI to give NoC for Construction around Airport

Approval depends on condition that structures
height is below 150 metre and they do not
obstruct flight path
SACS was established in the year 2005 by a group
of Retired Senior Management Executives to
utilize their experience gained while being a
part of the Bureaucratic set up in the Civil
Aviation Sector like Airports Authority of India
(AAI), National Airports Authority (NAA) and DGCA

• The AAI introduced online NOCAS version 2.0 for
  height clearance of 150 metre for buildings
  around the international airports to achieve the
  objective of flight safety. It means that the
  approval for structures under 150 metre can be
  granted depending that these may not infringe
  flight path at any cost, but not beyond that.

So far this facility has been offered at the 12
international airports in the country. These
airports include Delhi, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai,
Amritsar, Kolkatta, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Guwahati,
Bangaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai. And Nagpur.

In order to run the new mechanism efficiently
colour coded zoning maps have been drawn for the
150 metre high structures, including residential,
towers, shopping malls, hotels and others. Such
buildings can be easily raised, after getting
approval from the authorities concerned.

Earlier, citizens had to submit their building
plans for even normal residential buildings to
officials at the AAI at the airport, who used to
forward these to the head office in Delhi for
approval. After studying the longitude, latitude,
elevation and other factors of the site, approval
was granted to the applicant for construction.
