What is Epilepsy causes, symptoms treatment.

• Epilepsy is a disease in the central nervous
  system of the human body. In this disease, there
  are abnormal brain activities, causing unusual
  sensations, behaviors, seizures, and loss of
  awareness.
• In epilepsy, the seizures are provoked which are
  the sudden electrical activity inside the brain.
• The seizures are of two types Generalized in
  which the whole brain is affected, and focal in
  which affects are only on the one side of the
  brain. 
• It is difficult to recognize a mild seizure as it
  lasts only for a few seconds for which you lack
  awareness.
• During a strong seizure, you may feel
  unconscious, confused and uncontrollable twitches
  in muscles.

Causes of Epilepsy

• There is no specific cause of epilepsy for nearly
  half of the people from this condition.
•  For the other half, the possible causes are
• Genetic Factors Many types of epilepsy due to
  which the seizures occurred are run in families. 
• Trauma Injuries in the head or brain are the
  common reason for epilepsy. The brain inside
  problems Tumors or strokes inside the brain. In
  fact, stroke is a major cause of epilepsy for the
  people who are old than 40. 
• Infectious diseases Diseases such as AIDS,
  encephalitis, meningitis can cause epilepsy.

  cause epilepsy.

Symptoms of Epilepsy

• For the focal seizures, the symptoms are
• Changes in the taste, smell, touch, hearing and
  sight
• Feeling dizzy
• Twitching and tingling of limbs
• In the complex partial seizures, the symptoms
  are
• Blankly staring
• Unresponsiveness
• Repeating movements

The symptoms in the Generalized seizures are

• Blank staring
• Blinking and staring
• Stiffness in muscles
• Loss of muscle control
• Shaking
• Unconsciousness
• Tongue biting
• Bower control loss

 Epilepsy Diagnosis and Treatment

• If you have encountered a seizure, you must

  the tests to run. A blood test is mostly
  involved in the diagnosis.

  therapies are used. Anti-seizure and
  anticonvulsant drugs are quite common in the

• Vagus nerve stimulator and ketogenic diet are
  also helpful.
