1
Common Malware Types to Avoid to Protect Your
Computer Security
2
Common Malware Types
  • Malware is a used to refer to an extensive range
of hostile or intrusive software which could take
the kind of scripts, executable code, lively
material, or rogue safety computer software.
  • Ransomware
  • Ransomware is a kind of malicious software
considered to lock the system or block access
    while online.
  • It will frequently exhibit a message until an
amount of cash is paid, occasionally appearing as
a notification from the police or FBI, or need
money for the elimination of a non-invasive
    virus.
  • More advanced Ransomware can encrypt a victim's
files Make them unreachable before the user
offers that a ransom payment to decrypt them. You
need to know about How to Prevent Ransomware
    virus.

3
Rootkit
  • Rootkits are among the most deceptive types of
malware because they enable enemies to possess
administrator-level access to programs with no
    customers' knowledge.
  • When an enemy has root access into a system,
he/she may do almost whatever that they need with
the system, such as recording action, changing
    system settings, obtaining data mounting
attacks on other programs. The famous Stuxnet and
Flame strikes were both illustrations of
    rootkits.

4
Worm
  • A worm is extremely like a virus because it
spreads itself, but different a virus, it still
    does not infect other apps.
  • Instead, its a standalone piece of malware that
propagates from one system to another or from one
    network to another.
  • It may cause similar kinds of harm to the
    infected machine as viruses do.

5
Keyloggers
  • Software that records all of the data that is
    typed using a computer keyboard.
  • Keyloggers usually aren't effective at recording
data that's entered using keyboards and other
input devices, but physical keyboards are in
danger with this sort of malware.

6
Computer Virus
  • A computer virus is a malicious software that
self-replicates and attaches itself to other
    documents or programs.
  • It's capable of executing secretly whenever the
host Program or file is triggered.
  • The different types of virus have been
memory-resident virus, stealth virus, boot sector
virus, email virus and macro virus.

7
Fileless malware
  • Fileless malware which today contains over 50 of
all growing and malware, is malware which does
    not directly use the file.
  • Instead they tap disperse in memory only or
using other non-file OS objects such as registry
    keys, scheduled jobs or APIs.

8
The hybrid attack
  • This is rather unsafe and devastating. These
days, we have malware which might be a mix of
more than one flow of conventional malware.
  • ForExample, some malware is a part Virus,
    component Trojan, and part worm.
  • Such a malware might appear as a Trojan through
the initial stage, and it would perhaps spread as
    a worm.
