What is Off-Set Printing?
Offset Printing is a printing technique that
transfers ink from a plate to a rubber roller and
then to a paper material. It is best for mass
production such as printing large quantities of
newspapers, brochures, stationery, magazines, and
boxes. It is one of the most widely used printing
options by North York print shop for its
high-quality prints and offset printing becomes
much more cost-effective. Offset printing is a
traditional method of printing. In offset, each
set of pages needs to have 4 custom plates made
for each of the 4 inks used in printing (Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow, and Black).
3
How does offset Printing Works?
  • Offset printing ink is an oily substance, which
means it repels water. If you can create a
surface on which some parts contain a thin layer
of water, those areas will repel ink. The image
areas need be lipophilic (or oleophilic) they
accept ink while the non-printing areas need to
be hydrophilic they are repellent to oil and
    receptive to water.
  • Some offset litho presses do not use a
water-based dampening system but instead use
printing plates on which a silicone layer
repulses the ink. These are called dry offset or
    waterless offset presses.
  • Offset refers to the fact that the image is not
transferred from a lithographic printing plate to
a sheet of paper. Instead the inked image is
transferred (or offset) from the printing surface
to a rubber blanket and then to the printing
    surface.

What are the Benefits of Off Set- Printing?
  • High Quality, True Color
  • Since Offset uses ink instead of toner (digital
printing), the result of the print is a lot
    richer and clearer
  • Low Cost
  • Medium to large quantity printing is best used
with offset printing. The more quantities that
are produced, the cheaper the unit cost becomes
  • Fast Efficient
  • Web-fed can produce over 80,000 copies of printed
materials while producing them in high quality
  • Flexible Dynamic
  • Offset printing works on a wide range of
    materials including paper, cardboard, wood,
leather, and plastic while providing solutions to
print finishing and other special requests.

What is Magazine ads printing ?
Print media advertising is a form
of advertising that uses physically printed
media, such as magazines and newspapers, to reach
consumers, business customers and prospects.
Advertisers also use digital media, such as
banner ads, mobile advertising and advertising in
social media, to reach the same target audiences.

What are elements used in Printing Magazine ads?
a. Header-The header, also known as the title,
attracts attention to the ad and lets the reader
know what he will find out in the copy. The
header should communicate a key benefit described
in the ad, such as a discount sale or a
limited-time offer. b. Image-An image at the
top or in the body of the ad creates curiosity
and communicates what the viewer will learn by
continuing to read the ad. c. Body-Print
advertisements commonly include a body, which is
the main part of the ad. The body elaborates on
the concept of the title, and should build
interest in the product or service.  d. Call to
Action-A call to action typically follows the ad
copy. As the name suggests, a call to action
leads the reader to tak a specific action, such
as visiting the store or contacting the store for
more information. e. Contact Information-
Contact information tells the viewer how to get
in touch with the business to take advantage of
the offer. Include as much information as
appropriate to make it easy for the reader to
find the business. 88

What are the Benefits of Magazine ads?
  • Targeted Marketing- Magazines have content that
is read by an audience of people who are
interested in that topic. And they are more
    likely to purchase your book.
  • Cost Effectiveness - Medium to large quantity
printing is best used with offset printing. The
more quantities that are produced, the cheaper
and effective as you match your message with the
interests of a niche print mediums subscribers.
  • Engagement - The person who is loyal to a
magazine or newspaper made a conscious decision
to read it. And they are more focused on your
message what you want to share with them.
  • High Ad Recall- Magazine ads are the second
    highest receptivity of any media.
  • Loyal Readership- When people subscribe to a
magazine they have a longstanding, loyal
relationship. Views always look at your message
with a more positive frame of mind.
  • Pass-Along Exposure- After reading to the
magazine they may give it to someone else to
read. Or they may donate it to their local coffee
shop, beauty salon, barbershop or another place
where people read while waiting for service. Your
ad goes with it for additional exposure.
