CONCEPT
The journey of Tallit for women has not been a
rather smooth one. But it has seen its own share
of ups and downs over the years. A tallit is
considered as one of the most significant thing
in the lives of a Jew. However, there was a time
when women were forbidden to wear the tallit.
Basically, the practice was only confined with
men where the tallit was the symbol of the four
corners from which the fringes hang in compliance
with Torahs prescription in the book of Numbers
1537-40.

Tallit was only for men and hence they were made
specifically for them. But with the increasing
number of women wearing tallit, there is an
evolutionary change in the making of the tallit
for women.
6
Use Of Pure Fabric
According to the Jewish custom, as far as fabrics
for talitot is concerned, wool and silk or woven
synthetic cotton is considered the most pure and
the preferable ones to go for. Also, in the
Jewish custom, using mixed fabric for tallit is
prohibited. As Jewish people are spread across
the world, they have spread their custom with
them.
7
Exclusive Handmade Talitot Are The Best
Although there are a lot of modern equipments and
techniques used for making the tallit, however,
nothing can match the beauty and perfection of
the twinned corners or the four knots that are
exclusively handmade.

  • With the new designs and trendy inputs, tallit of
women have gone beyond from just being a prayer
shawl. The hand crafted ones will never fail to
give you that traditional look and feel.
