CBSE Central Board Of Secondary Education
  • Established in 1962, CBSE provides affiliations
    to both public and private schools. With over
    15,000 schools affiliated to CBSE, it is by far
    the most popular board in India in compare to
  • other Boards. It also conducts the annual AIEEE
    and AIPMT examinations for admission to
    engineering and medical. These two examinations
    allow students to compete for seats in the
    prestigious IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMs, and other
    national institutes.

ICSE Indian Certificate Of Secondary Education
  • ICSE is a private, non- governmental education
    board that was established in 1956 at the meeting
    of the Inter-State Board for Anglo-Indian
    Education, which took over an offshoot of the
    Cambridge IGCSE that existed during the British
    regime. It conducts the ICSE (for Class X) and
    ISC (for Class XII) examinations. There are about
    1,900 schools that are affiliated to the CISCE
    board. It was previously known as Senior
    Cambridge.

Board Recognition
CBSE It is recognized by the Indian Government.
Or in other words, it is an all-India education
board and is the safest bet for parents who work
in transferable jobs or relocate to different
states. ICSE It is a private, non-governmental
education board. It is not the safest board
for the parents who works in transferable jobs or
relocate to different state. Schools are lesser
in numbers in compare to the CBSE Boards.

Medium Of instruction
  • CBSE CBSE recommends both Hindi/English as
    medium of instruction, which helps students in
    command both the subjects and also helps in
    Scoring Marks .
  • ICSE ICSE does not recommend Hindi. Hence,
    ICSE lays a higher emphasis on language with two
    papers on English unlike CBSE, which create
    problems in scoring marks.

Regular and Private Candidate
  • CBSE CBSE is affiliated to a large number of
    schools all over India. The boards allows both
    Regular amp Private candidates, who studies in
    CBSE or Private organization to appear in the
    exams.
  • ICSE ICSE does not allow a candidate who has
    not been studying in an ICSE affiliated schools
    to appear for the exams.

Teaching Method
  • CBSE CBSE includes the details study of
    subjects in a easy formats and comparatively
    easier as compared to ICSE in Scoring Good Marks.
    It has a high quality in terms of book content,
    with no errors and/or printing mistakes.
  • ICSE ICSE Study structure is in more details
    and very in large in size. It is comparatively
    tough as compared to CBSE in Scoring Good Marks.
    ICSE is more detailed and requires students to
    remember more.

Ease of Availability
  • CBSE CBSE has more number of best schools in
    compare to ICSE across all over India. If you
    live in small towns or rural places, since you
    may not have access to good Schools which are
    primarily concentrated in metros or Tier-I
    cities. CBSE is the best choice for those
    situated in small places.
  • ICSE ICSE schools are lesser in numbers in
    compare to CBSE across all over India. ICSE are
    mostly situated in Metros or Towns, which is
    quite tough in communication for the students
    from semi Urban areas. It is also not suitable
    for the parents who usually get Transferred.
