Quick and Easy Guide on How to Connect Alexa Echo
to WiFi If you've just got a new Amazon Echo
device, you must be excited. If you can't wait to
get it up and running, this guide is exactly
what you need. Just a few simple steps and you
will be able to connect Alexa Echo to WiFi and
begin enjoying the rich range of features on the
device.
Step 1 Unbox your device and make sure you have
everything you need to do your Amazon Echo
Setup. The device should come with a charging
adapter. Take it and plug the device into a power
outlet so that it has sufficient battery during
the setup. You don't want it to run out of
battery during the setup as it can take more
time than it should to do the Amazon Echo setup
if the device switches off midway. Step
2 While your device is charging, get your
smartphone and download Alexa app through the
playstore if you are an android user. If you are
an Apple user, run your Alexa app download
through the appstore. Once you have downloaded
and installed the app, please start it and
connect to your Alexa account.

If you do not already have an Alexa account,
please sign up. The sign-up process is easy. All
you need to do is submit your email ID, a few
personal details and you are good to go. Make
sure you verify your email address through a
verification link sent by Amazon to your
inbox. Step 3 Once you have created your
account, log in to your account through the
mobile app. Your device should have finished
charging by now. You can activate it by using the
wake word at this point. The default wake word
on your Amazon Echo will be Alexa. You can change
the wake word through the settings menu on your
Alexa app to anything you want. Once the device
is active, go to your Alexa app, and click on
the settings tab. There should be an option to
add a new device. Click on this option and wait.
After a few seconds, a list of nearby Alexa
compatible devices will show up. Find your
Amazon Echo on the list and add it as a new
device.
Step 4 Now comes the bit where you connect Alexa
echo to WiFi and begin using your device. Once
the device has been added to your Alexa app, go
back to the settings and click on manage
devices. There will be an option to connect Alexa
echo to WiFi. Click on that option and type in
your WiFi security key. Once you have entered the
correct WiFi password, the device will then be
connected to WiFi.

difficulty getting your device to switch on,

fine, just turn your devices off and on again.
This includes your router, phone and the Amazon
Echo.
