WHAT IS TOK
Are you struggling with your TOK studies? Are
you completely at your wits end regarding the TOK
essay Or TOK Presentation? We are here to help

presentations and other related issues regarding
your IB studies. TOK is a course about critical
thinking and inquiring into the process of
knowing, rather than about learning a specific
body of knowledge. It is a core element which
all Diploma Program students undertake and to
which all schools are required to devote a
stipulated time. TOK and Diploma Program
subjects should support each other and share
some common goals. The TOK course examines how
we know what we claim to know. It does this by
encouraging students to analyze knowledge claims
and explore knowledge questions.

EXTENDED ESSAY
The extended essay (EE) is a mandatory core
component of the IB Diploma Program. It is a
research paper of up to 4,000 words giving
students an opportunity to conduct independent
research or investigation on a topic that
interests them. Like the theory of knowledge
(TOK) essay, TOK presentation and participation
in creativity, action, service activities,
submitting an extended essay is a prerequisite
for award of the Diploma and for Certificate as
