Title: How Is Data Helping India Fight The Biggest Health Challenges - ACRI India

1
How Is Data Helping India Fight The Biggest
Health Challenges?
India has faced numerous challenges when it comes
to health and healthcare. And, it is only
technology that can help solve this issue.
Everything today is about digital technology. To
be able to reach both urban and rural
population, technology is the best option.
Creating digital primary health centers that
start collecting data of the population can make
a big difference in the way these populations
are looked at. With such data, it helps to know
the basic results like the amount of diabetic or
hypertensive population, cancer patients, etc.
Thinking about such issues as public health
problems helps to look at different ways to
downstage diseases. Thus, technology is very
important.
With CT Scans, MRIs, and other scans becoming so
popular today, artificial intelligence has made
reading such scans more intelligent and
predictive, while being absolutely accurate and
fast. Lots of human skills that can be time
consuming and erroneous can be eliminated. With
the challenge of collecting data and having
sensors to get the data back to form the
response, technology comes to be the most
powerful tool, without which good healthcare
cannot be provided to the citizens of the
country, nor can the huge deficit of hospitals
and doctors be addressed. Every year, more than
50,000 people turn to become MBBS doctors, but
only some 6000-7000 of them become specialists!
This is a huge matter of concern for the Indian
healthcare. For example, more than 50 million
people in the country are suffering from
diabetes, but how
2
many diabetologists do we have? Less than even a
thousand! This is where technology plays a huge
role to make MBBS doctors smart, if not
specialized. With our immune system being a very
complex system, there is so much that is still
left unstudied. Hundreds and thousands of
researches are being carried out on the human
body anatomy every year, only to bring about
better healthcare solutions! Today, every
clinical research facility and pharmaceutical
company is catching up to become technology
savvy. India is adopting technology for research
and innovation, which is a very good sign.
Technology can be used to mine in lots of data
that can be embedded into the healthcare sector
for more efficient results. The pharmaceutical
sector is actually looking for ways to use
technology and digitize their data, realizing
the advantages of electronic formats, which are
soon going to replace the hard formats that have
been in use till now. With more and more complex
diseases coming up, it is not only beneficial but
also important to consider a lot of data so that
we can get insights into how the diseases
progress and how they can be destroyed. Get
yourself enrolled with one of the top clinical
research institutes in Bangalore, like Avigna
Clinical Research Institute, if you find clinical
research to be a passion for you, so that you
can help to bring about better healthcare changes
in the country in the future and help India
become a quality healthcare country.
