• The number and type of users you will
  need. Different companies will have different
  requirements for their end users. Some businesses
  do fine with an accounting staff of 3 who then
  can disseminate information out. Others may need
  to grant report access to other staff, and others
  still may need full user access for project
  managers and other non-accounting related
  personnel. Without an accurate idea of the number
  of users, the software and implementation costs
  cannot be estimated.

• How much configuration will occur. While it is
  possible that Dynamics will work fine out of the
  box, most companies will need some customization.
  How much and how involved that will be will make
  a big difference in implementations cost, so
  without an idea of what gaps exist between
  standard functionality and business requirements,
  customization cannot be determined.

• Integration to 3rd party software. Nearly 1/3 of
  our clients integrate Dynamics with a 3rdparty
  software. It can be as simple as using predefined
  touch points, or full custom integration. And
  similar to configuration, until the amount of
  integration can be determined, the cost is
  unknown.

• Training. Different staffs have different skill
  sets, so training can vary greatly depending on
  the complexity of the implementation and size of
  your staff. A company may want to do a train the
  trainer approach, in which one person assumes
  the responsibility of learning the new system, in
  other cases our consulting team will need to
  train end users directly. As such, the cost of
  training can vary greatly.
