Top 5 Muslim Pilgrimage Sites In India for A
Spiritually Enlightening Experience
The diversity of religions in India is the prime
reason that makes it one of the best pilgrimage
sites in the world. Islam, the second largest
religion in India, took its roots in the seventh
century during the lifetime of prophet Muhammad.
The word Islam, means surrendering to the will
of God. The religion first came to India with
the Arab traders who had taken refuge in the
western coast of India. The advent of Muslim
religion has made great contributions to
the history of India. It is not surprising that
many of the Heritage Monuments in India were
built by the Mughals who were followers of Islam.
The luxury these rulers enjoyed is a proof of the
rich lifestyle of Muslims in India. Inspite of
their lavish lives, Mughals took their religion
seriously and built Dargahs and Mosques in
India to spread the word of Allah. If youre
planning to visit prominent dargahs and mosques
in India anytime soon, make sure you cover these
five sites in your Muslim pilgrimage tour to
India.
