  • Hepatitis Drug Development Market Research
    Report Ken Research

2
  • Hepatitis Drug Development Market Research Report
provides an overview of the pipeline landscape
    for hepatitis infections. It provides
    comprehensive information on the therapeutics
under development and key players involved in
    therapeutic development for hepatitis A,
hepatitis B, hepatitis D and hepatitis E, and
    features dormant and discontinued products.
  • Hepatitis refers to inflammation of the liver and
is most commonly caused by viral infections.
Hepatitis A and E are typically caused by
ingestion of contaminated food or water. Symptoms
of hepatitis A infection include fatigue, nausea
and vomiting, loss of appetite, dark urine,
muscle pain and yellowing of the skin and eyes.
  • Risk factors include a weakened immune system and
use of injected or non-injected illicit drugs.
Symptoms of hepatitis E include yellowing of the
skin, dark urine, fever, fatigue, joint pain,
nausea, a loss of appetite and pain in the
    abdomen.

3
  • Hepatitis B and hepatitis D infection typically
occur as a result of contact with infected body
fluids. Transmission of hepatitis B can occur via
sexual contact, injection drug use or
transfusions of contaminated blood and blood
products. Hepatitis B virus can cause an acute
illness with symptoms that last several weeks,
including yellowing of the skin and eyes, dark
urine, extreme fatigue, nausea, vomiting and
    abdominal pain.
  • Hepatitis D infection only occurs in persons
previously infected with hepatitis B, as the
hepatitis D virus can only replicate in the
presence of hepatitis B. The co-infection of
hepatitis B and hepatitis D is associated with
greater disease severity than hepatitis B
    infection alone.
  • Companies operating in this pipeline space
include Cadila Healthcare and Chongqing Zhifei
    Biological Products.

The report also includes the following details-
  • - Which companies are the most active within each
    pipeline?
  • - Which pharmaceutical approaches are the most
prominent at each stage of the pipeline and
    within each indication?
  • - To what extent do universities and institutions
play a role within this pipeline, compared to
    pharmaceutical companies?
  • - What are the most important RD milestones and
data publications to have happened in this
    disease area?
  • - Understand the overall pipeline, with an
at-a-glance overview of all products in
    therapeutic development for each indication
  • - Assess the products in development in granular
detail, with an up-to-date overview of each
individual pipeline program in each indication
and a comprehensive picture of recent updates and
    milestones for each
  • - Analyze the companies, institutions and
universities currently operating in the pipeline
and the products being fielded by each of these
  • - Understand the composition of the pipeline in
terms of molecule type, molecular target,
mechanism of action and route of administration
