Benefits of Falling Film Evaporator
Falling film evaporator is a special type of heat
exchanger which is used in Industries to
concentrate solutions especially with heat
sensitive components. This evaporator is also
used to evaporate volatile and non volatile
materials. In this evaporator liquid film falls
on vertical evaporation surface due to gravity
inside the tube and heat is transferred through
the walls. After this the mixture of liquid vapor
enters a vapor liquid evaporator. Concentrated
liquid is then pumped out. In this evaporator the
feed enters from top and flows in the tube. The
temperature of boiling liquid is same as vapor
head.
