To further let the game flourish it is best to
increase the participation of children in the
game and provide them with the necessary
training. Here are some important beginner
junior netball drills - Shooting Starting
right away from shooting drills can be exhausting
for the children, ultimately lowering down their
interest in the game, which is why it is
important to make the game fun. Most coaches
start with the acronym B.E.E.F. to introduce
the shooting drills in the game. Here is what
the acronym stands for 1.B for Balance Be
very sure your legs are steady by standing with
your feet shoulder width apart. Your feet should
be pointing towards the goal. 2.E for Eyes -
keep your eyes on the ring and focus that is
where the ball should go. 3.E for Elbow
Extend your arms close to your ear with your
elbows facing the ring. As you bend your arms
backwards, ensure that your elbows maintain the
same position before releasing the ball. 4.F for
Follow Through - Follow through by extending your
elbow and brushing your wrist as you release the
ball and shoot for the net.

Stepping Again, make the drill a fun portion of
the game is exactly what does the benefit for
the kids. Some coaches are of the belief that the
ICE CREAM game is a popular and fun netball
drill that the junior players not to take the
step during the game. During the drill all
players line up along the baseline and are then
asked to run until the whistle is blown.
At the sound of the whistle the players have to
give a low jump and have to land on one foot
with knees slightly bent while they yell out
ICE. Then as the back foot comes down they
yell out CREAM while pivoting the grounded foot
IE. This is to set in a reminder for them that
the first foot must stay on the ground.

Catching Passing One of the most important
netball skills that children must specifically
learn is catching and passing considering the
immense role that it plays all through the game.
To start with this drill get all the players to
stand in a circle and pass the bean bags as if
they were balls to their left and then to their
right aiming for chest height. Focus and accuracy
can be first developed by keeping only small
distance between the players but then increasing
it over a number of practice sessions.
