4 Reasons Why Your Car Battery is Not Charging?

• Youve left your lights on, or some other
  accessory that draws electrical current from the
  battery even when your car isnt running. It
  wont take long before it drains your vehicle
  battery totally.
• When you drive the car, the battery isnt
  getting recharged, i.e., there is a mechanical
  charging issue. All vehicles have an alternator
  which charges the battery when the engine is
  running. If the alternator is failing, then it
  will not be able to charge your battery and you
  will be looking at exchanging the alternator.
• There is a parasitic electrical drain on the
  battery which could be caused by some electrical
  circuit or component not shutting down when the
  vehicles ignition is turned off. Newer cars are
  very complicated with new technologies that have
  a myriad of circuits, fuses, and components that
  use electrical power. If they do not shut down
  correctly, then it drains the battery in a very
  short period of time.
• The battery has outlived its lifespan and wants
  to be exchanged. Most batteries are good for
  about three to four years. After that time, they
  weaken and are unable to take or hold a charge.
