Technology is a boon for us all. Well, thats the
general idea. But for some of us, that is not the
case. According to me much like swimming, cycling
or any other activity, using the modern
technology is also something that needs to be
taught, especially to old people like me.
Today, I am going to talk about a funny incident
which became the catalyst for me to use the
modern way of booking a Heathrow to Gatwick taxi

The incident The sun was beating down on my face
as I came out from the terminal door of the
Heathrow airport. I dont travel much by plane,
so I had no predisposition whatsoever about how
can I get a cab to my home. As I walked out of
the terminal I saw the huge queue of people
waiting for the black licensed cabs. The fatso
himself is as lazy as a cat but want others to be
efficient. So, I stood in the queue behind at
least thirty people with heavy luggage to get

The relief As I was talking to that man, a guy
dressed in a drivers livery emerged out of
nowhere. He looked to and fro and then fixed his
eyes on me. He came closer and asked Are you Mr.
Jerome Smith, father of Justin Smith? with utter
surprise, I just nodded. He greeted me with a big
smile and said, Im sorry for making you wait,
please come with me, your cab is waiting for you
Any other time I would have thought this
suspicious, but in that time those words sounded
like the sound of water in a desert. I
immediately went off with him, although there
were some second thoughts. The driver introduced
himself as Kafka and helped me with all my
luggage in the cab boot. He assured me with his
identity card which read Arena taxi service. We
started off the ride. It was wonderful he
chatted with me nicely and also showed me some
famous landmarks around the city. The interior
was very comfy and all my fatigue just vanished.
He told me that they operate through online
platform so that I can book a cab anytime,
anywhere, thanks to their 24/7 service.

Aftermath
Now, I have already taken three rides with Arena
Taxis in UK and this post goes to all of my old
friends out there who still stand in the queue
