Title: What Can You Do to Prepare Yourself for a Background Check

1
What Can You Do to Prepare
  • Yourself for a Background Check

2
  • Irrespective of whether you are looking at a
potential FBI background check application for a
high public job or a simple employment or work
history background check there are a number of
steps that you can take to prepare yourself for
such forms of background checks and many others.
    They include the following.

3
Get Copies of Your Report
  • You should find the report fast so that you
remain aware of what the applicant could find.
Doing this will require you to get a copy of your
driving record from your states Department of
Motor Vehicles. This will be able to highlight
your entire driving history. Do this especially
if the job that you are applying for is a
drivers job. If there is a civil law suit coming
up in your records you should make a follow up
with courthouse that handled the case.

4
Remain 100 Honest Too
  • Dont always try to hide anything from your
employer. It is not worth the chase. The truth is
that they will soon find out especially if they
are bound to run a background check. Therefore is
you are sure something could come up from your
background check, be honest and address it ASAP
with your prospective employer. I would suggest
clearing the air during the job interview.

5
Keep Your Finances in Order
  • Generally one of the things that often come up in
a background check is your credit history. It is
believed that a bad credit and financial history
can easily spill over to money laundering,
embezzlement, irresponsibility, and such! It is
therefore very important to keep your finances in
order. It will show high financial responsibility
when you pay your loans, bills, and improve your
    credit always.

6
Remember the Social Media
  • This is one area many people forget to look into.
The truth is that, the simplest way to find out
more about you is to Google you. Many social
media platforms that we use today will give us
the absolute things we want to know. They could
run a check through your LinkedIn, Facebook, and
Twitter accounts. Remember those dirty posts and
photos you just posted, they could say a lot.

7
Inform your Friends About It
  • It is important to let your friends know that
they could be asked about you. This crop of pals
will include past colleagues and your general
click! This is one trick many background check
firms use to determine if what you provided is
entirely accurate. By making them aware they will
be ready with a honest and genuine information.

8
Educate Yourself About Your Rights
  • As a job seeker you might want to educate
yourself about your rights regarding background
checks. This is entirely important as it allows
you to have a fair sharing and at the same time
protect yourself from any forms of harassments.

9
  • For many potential employees, background check
requests often catch them unawares. Dont be that
kind of guy as this shows high sense of
    responsibility.
