4 problems faced by freelancers and how to tackle
them
If you are planning to leave your job and start
freelancing, then think again. Freelancing is not
an easy job. In fact, it is a risky and a
tough decision that can make or break you. Well,
we are not here to scare you, but you need to
work hard and work with a lot of patience to make
a dent in the outsourcing world. Being new in
this arena, there are some problems that might
bother you. Lets discuss the issues in detail
and talk about the best possible way to handle
the problems. Low prices attract bad clients As
a new freelancer, you pitch extremely low prices
to get freelance projects online. Is this a
clever move? No, it can actually result in
attracting bad clients like a magnet. The good
ones want quality and are looking for a trusted
professional who knows his/her worth. So,
remember to pitch reasonably and then only will
you be deemed as a serious professional. Different
currencies are puzzling When you find
freelance jobs online, you can simultaneously work
with a U.S. client and also a German employer.
The result is good money, but confusing
currencies. Well, most of the clients know
that the U.S. dollar is the widely accepted
currency accepted by top-rated, global
freelancers. However, if you do not wish to
bother the client, then you need to keep an eye
on the currency rates and then bid with the
client.

You lose work-life balance When you start
getting projects one by one, the tendency of
taking up more work that you can handle can
actually topple your work-life balance. You might
find yourself working 24X7 and you dont even
understand why this is happening. To solve such
kind of issues, you need to take regular breaks
during work, plan outings with friends and
definitely take up lesser work the next time you
pitch. Not enough research work You need to
research about the project before pitching the
client. The employer would want to know how much
capable you are and how much knowledge you hold
about the subject. If you bid without doing your
homework, then you might fail to impress the
employer and thus end up losing the project. If
you desire to follow your passion and earn your
living by that, then freelancing is a great idea.
Take the leap on the lucrative project and with
these pointers in mind, dont let anything hold
you back.
