• Knee Kicker,
• Power Stretcher,

• Carpet wall trimmers are used to trim off excess
  carpet along the line of the wall.

• A Loop pile cutter is needed if the carpet is a
  loop pile carpet with a stiff backing.

• Carpet Shears are used to cut and trim seam edges
  in a woven or knitted carpet.

• A utility knife or a traditional carpet trimming
  knife can be used to cut and trim the carpet
  especially around objects and doorways.

• A heat bond iron is used to seam or join two
  pieces of a carpet

• A spiked carpet roller could then be used to roll
  out bonded carpet seams.

• To stretch the carpet, a knee kicker could be
  used to push the edge of the carpet up to the
  wall.

• A knee kicker is commonly used to stretch a
  carpet in small areas such as a closet or stairs.

• A power stretcher is a longer tool which is used
  to stretch a carpet in larger areas.

• A power stretcher creates a lot more pressure and
  stretches the carpet with greater force when
  compared to a knee kicker.
