The Art Culture And Festival
1.ITS NOT JUST A NOISE, ITS OUR VOICE
There have been discussions over nukkad natak
claiming of losing their essence because of their
changing perspective over the prevalent issue and
their evolving skills. Even if people criticize,
the thing which we cannot deny is that nukkad
spirit can never die because they still havent
forgotten SAFDAR HASHMI SAHAB who sacrificed his
life while performing his street play HALLA
BOL. It was his spirit for nukkad which made his
wife go back to the same place and complete the
play from where it was left and even today his
sacrifice is considered to be a milestone which
made todays performers even more passionate for
their love of street theatre. Including
instruments , props and presenting their play
with pomp and show doesnt mean they have
forgotten the original concept but they stick to
their core principles firmly yet bring out
essence of freshness and originality.

2.SATTRIYA DANCE
Love for dance is seamless. Cultures differ but
the passion for dance remains, and no border can
define it. Dance is in the heart, and has a faith
of its own Recognized in 2000, Sattriya has
gained its prominence as the eighth classical
dance form of India. This innovative dance style
symbolic of grace and beauty has been widely and
warmly accepted by the dance community .It is a
gift of the great vaishnava saint, Hastamudras
Aharyas, Footworks, and Music adding to the
flair and artistry of this dance form.

3.DANCING THE UNUSUAL WAY
Dance is an expression of a man which gives
landscape to his soul. Every movement reveals
something wonderful a human can be.. Glorified
in Natya Shastra, Indian Dance forms maintain the
authenticity of Indian culture. Graceful body
movements along with navras, brings out there
essence. Talas, Mudras, Abhinaya and Nritya
depict the beauty of dancing. With the
magnificence in their elaborate make up and
costume, imagination, combination of music, dance
and acting, makes it unique and dynamic
combination of art forms.

4. FROM PALATE TO PALETTE ART AND FOOD!
Food, one doesnt have to define how food has
been an important part of our lives. One has read
it in science books, how one cannot live without
food but pages of 21st Century has defined it, in
some other manner. A way in which one cannot
refuse food, at any point of day, anywhere. The
love given to food today, developed by taste buds
and launched into the system of memory veins.
Whereas, if we talk about art, one cannot define
it in one line either. Its an expression, unlike
something you can smell or taste, its a healing
tube of creativity on the blank canvas of wounds.
The splashes and brush strokes on the sheets,
with bubbles of colored ideas, riding along with
the trail to destination expression!

5. KITSCH ART ON TRUCKS AND TAXIS
Kitsch developed as a form of protest amidst many
lanes and bylanes of art forms prevalent in the
last century. Towards the end of the last century
it got directed to being an extremely free
expression of whatever we want to do on a canvas
that canvas can be anything from a wall to a
ceiling to even the sides of a truck or taxi! It
was about making a statement to the world as to
what you are thinking about a certain issue, or
what your opinion is in that matter. It was all
about letting go of inhibitions and using
whatever material available to draw, sketch or
even scratch a scene to depict or make a
statement.
