History

• History of the Procedure. Galen introduced the
  term gynecomastia in the second century AD. He
  defined gynecomastia as an unnatural increase in
  the breast fat of males. Although Galen was aware
  that glandular enlargement of the male breast
  occurred as a separate entity, he did not
  consider this gynecomastia
• Gynecomastia is derived from the Greek terms
  gynec (feminine) and mastos (breast). The literal
  translation, male breasts, relates to any
  condition that results in excessive development
  of breast tissue in males. Males may rarely
  develop breast cancer, but this is often
  associated with testicular atrophy.

How Long Does It Take

• A breast reduction procedure usually takes up to
  2-3 hours depending on the patient.

Recovery After Surgery

• Recovery from a male breast reduction surgery can
  take several weeks. Tissues in the breasts may be
  swollen and some bruising may also be visible.
  During the recovery period the patient is
  required to wear a firm Lycra garment to help
  reduce the swelling - this garment is worn for a
  period of 3 weeks.
• Male breast reduction is a surgery many men can
  benefit from and there has never been a better
  time or place to have this procedure performed.

  allergic reactions to the various anesthesia
  medicines used.
• Other disadvantages include not liking the result
  of the surgery once it is performed.  There are
  risks in terms of body shape a man may end up
  with an irregular breast contour.

• 1-Puffy nipple. Breast tissue outside of areola
• 2-Chest angle less than 45
• 3-Chest angle 45-60 Mild breast sag
• 4-Chest angle 60-90 Moderate breast sag
• 5-Chest angle greater than 90 Significant sag
• 6-Top of areola is above chest fold. Severe sag
• 7-Top of areola is below chest fold. Extreme sag
